Have you seen me before? I have been selling on Etsy for 13 years in Friends in Fiber. In this new shop I want to provide the very best in fiber products in a spectrum from fiber roving to wearable garments. The luxury fibers are only natural fiber - no man-made fibers. Natural fibers go back several thousand years - they do the job.
I have experience in all aspects of the fiber arts. Got a question? Just send a message.
Thanks for visiting my shop. Peg

The Yak and Polwarth combination is very nice. The soft Yak fiber combined with soft, yet sturdy Polwarth is just right for your projects. More in stock if you need it. Peg

So happy you like Icelandic wool. I like it too. I have been working with our sources to get more of the natural colors in stock. Perhaps after this spring's sheering. Have fun with your project. Peg

Thank you for your kind words. The joy of spinning is my passion too. Spinning something new is a wonderful journey for the mind and hands. Then the yarn can go into a project that can last forever. Have fun with the soft. Peg

5 out of 5 starsOoooh! This is so soft! I can’t wait to come up with a blend just for this fiber!
Peg responded on Apr 20, 2024
Thanks again for your purchase of our Alpaca fiber. Suri is dense and drapey and I have spun with silk with good results (see my other blends). Blending with Cormo, or Fine Merino (21 micron or less) will give the blend more loft (less dense). For a colorway, the Ashland Bay colors will provide interesting tweed yarns. Hope these ideas are helpful. Peg

5 out of 5 starsThis cashgora/mulberry blend is gorgeous…so, so soft! The silk gives the cashgora color a luminescent quality too. I just love it! Thank you so much!

5 out of 5 starsThis fiber is absolutely beautiful! Definitely a luxury blend…so, so soft and shiny. It will be a pleasure to spin for certain! Thank you so much!!!

Thanks again. This is one of the very first custom silk blends I used for my knitting projects. This experience led me to design blends for a wide variety of fibers and try exotic fibers for comparison. As silk is still registered as the one of the strongest natural fibers, picking silk for blends seemed natural. Peg

Care instructions
All my fibers, spun yarn, knitted and woven items must be carefully hand washed using the normal methods. Not sure? Contact me.
Studio Environment for my fiber products
My studio is smoke free and animal free (except when the cat makes a quick move through the door). Fiber items are stored in tight bags to avoid contamination. I am very careful about this but if you have a concern, please contact me.
What is Combed Top versus Carded Wool Roving?
Carded Wool is processed into a roving with fibers partially aligned. Combed Top is an extra process that thoroughly aligns the fibers for spinning very smooth yarn. We sell all the Luxury and Fine Wool fibers as Combed Top. Our Local Wools are just carded wool fiber.
